Sorry this pro can’t do your job, but we know other pros who can.
Introduction: We focus on quality. That usually means taking extra care to prepare surfaces before we paint. It shows especially in historic homes that have lots of detail and character and that are likely to need extra attention. Even modern homes can benefit from a little extra attention, though. I've always loved architecture. Making a house reach its full potential by restoring paint, adding color or accenting details really excites me.

I had a great experience working with Randall Reese and LVX Painting. I was looking for a company that was licensed and insured. LVX gave me a reasonable quote for painting my home and came out that very week and completed the task. His crew were very concerned with cleanliness and precision. The crew was very polite and respectful to me and my family. Great work and reasonable pricing, in addition LVX guarantees their work. I will certainly use them again when the need arises and will absolutely refer them to my family and friends. Respectfully, The Garnicks

Perfect... We scheduled for good weather. The guys showed up on time, cleaned and inspected the gutters for me. They let me know of two screens that needed to be replaced. On budget adependable. Perfect.

FAQs

  • What education and/or training do you have that relates to your work?

We belong to the Painting and Decorating Contractors of America, which offers a variety of courses during the year on topics ranging from paint chemistry to business ethics. I take nearly all of the monthly online seminars and also attend as many of the in-person classes as possible. Staying abreast of technology might not seem important in painting, but things do change quickly.

  • Describe a recent project you are fond of. How long did it take?

While painting a house in Newport's East Row Historic District, a neighbor watched us closely and asked what it would take to make his house look as nice as the one we were working on. Although his house had been recently painted, it was with a very bland color scheme. We discussed some alternatives and came in to just add some color and accent the details. Turned out even better than the neighbor who he'd been envying!

  • What advice would you give a customer looking to hire a provider in your area of work?

Make sure you hire someone you can trust. They should have good liability insurance to protect your house, workers' comp insurance in case one of their employees is injured on your property, and they should be licensed in your area. Check the Better Business Bureau rating, the reviews on Angies List and Google them to see what other people have been saying about their quality.
