I have purchased several dogs and have been going there for training since 2000. The staff is very professional and you can be assured that your dog will be very well taken care of and your needs met whether you need doggie day care, boarding, training, or are looking to get another special pet.

David Harris is without a doubt the best dog trainer in KY. He took me and my dog in for a consultation and we were sold! My dog is so well behaved now, and I learned too. I can take my dog anywhere and I always get compliments on how good he is. thanks ARTc

Question and answer

Q. What advice do you have for a customer looking to hire a provider like you?

A. Ask about experience with your breed of dog. Experience solving your type of problem. Ask for references from clients that had similar issues. Ask them what exactly they would do to solve the problems that you are having. Ask them what type of methods of training do they use. Ask them if you can attend one of their classes prior to signing up with you. Ask if they have a money back guarentee.

Q. Why does your work stand out from others who do what you do?

A. Serving the Bluegrass area since 1988. Perfect rating with the BBB. We are highly motivated, well educated, fully staffed and customer service oriented. We offer money back guarantees on our services and will work very hard to make sure you get what you expected from an animal care provider.

Q. What do you like most about your job?

A. I love teaching other people how to really, really get the most out of their companions, to solve frustrating problems and to really enjoy their pets. Trained dogs are simply a joy to own and trained dogs have better lives as well. So, both people and dogs benefit from our training services. It's a win, win and I love it.

Q. What questions do customers most commonly ask you? What's your answer?

A. Most of the problems we get called on each day are actually very easy to solve. Problems typically arise between dogs and humans when there is a lack of communication. The dog simply does not understand what the owner wants or how to do it. Once we show the owners how to communicate and motivate their pets peace and harmony can be restored very quickly.

Q. Do you have a favorite story from your work?

A. My favorite stories are from clients that were going to get rid of their dogs prior to training with us and know love their dogs. We are currently training a Shih Tzu for the highest level of AKC Obedience which is Utility. This dog came to us with his 67 year old owner as a last act of desperate dog owner. The only reason she had not already given this biting monster away was because it was a gift from her daughter. So, she gave us a try and the rest is AKC history. We love sucess stories!
