Introduction: Our training stands out from others because of the many years of experience and continued education in varying methods of training we have in our "toolbox" to draw from. This is important so we can truly customize every training program to the individual dog and the goals of the family. We love assisting owners in building communication with their dogs to improve their relationship and increase the enjoyment of dog ownership. I cannot thank NKy K-9 enough for their help in training Red. We adopted Red from the Shelter when he was 5 years old and at the time He seemed very timid/shy. At least that is what I thought. After being in our home A while I thought his reaction to visitors was being protective of me. Having been a volunteer at the Shelter I contacted Northern Ky K-9 and it ended up that Red was very fearful and would act out because of this fear. I knew I did not have the knowledge, time or patience to help Red resolve this issue so he went to the Residency program so that they had more time to observe and get to know Red and train Him which in turn helped his confidence. After Reds residency program we met for my training on how to train and treat Red. This has changed our life with our dog. Red is able to be part of our life wherever we go. Whether it is hiking or touring in a busy city he is able to travel with us. Big issues or small issues, Northern Ky K-9 can help. Call them - You wont regret it !

I contacted NKYK9 for help with training my Yorkshire. They gave me an evaluation and many options ,that I could use I chose the in house training program. The results were nothing short of amazing. And the continued classes and outing they offer reinforce what the dog and owner have learned. Belinda and Jeff are friendly accessible knowledgeable professional. I cannot say enough about them. Sadie our dog has done so well with the issues we addressed and continues to do so. Another service they offer is Pet sitting. Who better to trust with your dog. I highly recommend them

What types of customers have you worked with?
We have a wide variety of clients. We work with the new puppies in the home to assist with housebreaking & confidence building, the exuberant adolescent who needs guidance in good manners, the dogs who have become aggressive for varying reasons, the on-going assistance with group classes and the fun classes like "Scent Games" or "Agility for FUN".
What advice would you give a customer looking to hire a provider in your area of work?
Be thorough in your discussions with a trainer you're considering hiring. Ensure their personality is one you can work with so you can build a good relationship with your trainer. Ask for references and call them. Ensure the trainer has an educational background you can verify and is continuing their education as new learning theories are always developing.
