Question and answer
Q. Describe the most common types of jobs you do for your clients.
A. While in Chicago, I exclusively dog walked. Here, in Lexington, I mainly provide in home, overnight sitting while clients are on extended vacation for both cats and dogs.
Q. Describe three recent jobs you've completed.
A. #1
I provided a 30 min daily visit for an active yellow lab. She just needed a potty break while her parents worked long days. We played fetch with tennis balls and sticks. I always make sure the animal gets the entire time to play while going potty.
#2 A client of mine went on vacation and I visited her two cats twice a day, 30 mins each time. This client wanted me to leave a certain amount of cat food at both visits, as well as keeping the litter box clean. I also brought her mail and paper in every day. I made sure different lights were on at different times and different nights.
#3 I was sitting a boxer and a bulldog that I had sat for several other times. I was providing in home, overnight care for a week. Unfortunately, the boxer was very ill. I worked very hard to get her to eat, and go outside. She passed away within weeks. I will always treasure those last days with a great dog! I was still able to give superb attention to the bulldog. Including walks and playing fetch.
Q. What advice do you have for a customer looking to hire a provider like you?
A. Evaluate how often you will want me before contacting me. When you have made a final decision as to how much coverage you will need, call me. I will be happy to work out any schedule you need. Sometimes, what my clients need does not fit into my pre-set services. I can work with you to make sure your animal is cared for.
