Introduction: I consider myself a guide more than I consider myself an instructor. Teaching chords, scales, and songs are important, but giving someone a smile after connecting to the music is my greatest pleasure. One of the most distinguishing aspects that makes my service stand out is my emphasis on deliberate practice, a practice philosophy and technique that can cut learning and practice time in half. I like this philosophy because most of my students work full time, school full time, or have full time family obligations and 4-8 hours of practice are not anywhere realistic haha. I love music and I love people. My job lets me talk to people about the craft that I love so much. I couldn't ask for anything better.

I am an adult student, and Jonathan has been my instructor for almost four years. He is a very gifted musician, skilled instructor, and fun person to play guitar and mandolin with. During the last few years I have had very little time to practice, but with Jonathan's help I have developed my playing and singing. Whether your skills are beginner or advanced level, I highly recommend Jonathan as a teacher.

Working with Jonathan to learn to play the guitar has been a great experience. I am no great talent and he has really taken his time with me and helped me immeasurably. He is professional and knowledgeable in every aspect of guitars and guitar playing. I would highly recommend him as first choice to anybody interested in learning to play the guitar
