I had the pleasure of having Kathy from Premier Face Painting paint at my daughters birthday party. Her work is just amazing and the kids just loved her. She is truly a talented artist. We have hired other local face painters and Kathy's work was the best. Thank you for making my daughters birthday one she will never forget.

Question and answer

Q. Describe the most common types of jobs you do for your clients.

A. Our most common types of gigs are birthday parties. We also do a lot of bat and bar mitzvahs - the kids and the adults just love the airbrush temporary tattoos that we do.
We also do body painting for corporate events. Another area that we do is pregnant belly paintings.

Q. What advice do you have for a customer looking to hire a provider like you?

A. When you hire me you know you are getting the best art work in the area. You don't have to settle for average face painting.

Q. Why does your work stand out from others who do what you do?

A. I have extensive training and 7+ years experience.
I have taught at the Face and Body Art International Convention for several years.

Q. What do you like most about your job?

A. I love to see the smiles on the kids faces when they see themselves in the mirror - priceless moments

Q. What questions do customers most commonly ask you? What's your answer?

A. How did you get started - I got started in this business by being a clown for hospice of Louisville - they sent me to a local clown convention and one year they had a face painting class and ever since then I was hooked on this art form

Q. What do you wish customers knew about you or your profession?

A. I want my customers to know that I spent 2 years practicing before I even started the company. I wanted people to say "WOW" when they saw my work. I am into giving my customers quality work.
I also want them to know that I have been an instructor at the Face and Body Art Convention for 3 years and counting.

Q. How did you decide to get in your line of work?

A. I became interested in face painting when I took a class at our local clown convention and just fell in love with the whole concept of turning the kids and adults into walking works of art. I then took training classes from some of the worlds best face and body artists so that my work will stand out from the rest of the competition.

Q. If you have a complicated pricing system for your service, please give all the details here.

A. We charge by the hour but we do give discount rates for events lasting longer that 4 hours. When I do festivals I charge per face and the prices range from $7.00 to $10.00

Q. If you were advising someone who wanted to get into your profession, what would you suggest?

A. If someone wants to get into this business I would suggest to first take the time to get good. No one wants to hire someone that has poor face painting skills. I see this all to often where someone will start and then call themselves a professional when their quality of work is of amature quality. Get really good then start you business.
