Great with kids. My 12 year old son is enjoying playing the banjo and having Mr. Judd as a teacher. He is learning to read music and respect the art. Mr. Judd's experience and style of teaching boost the confidence in his students. I feel lucky to have found him!

I completed my first lesson with David and couldn't be more pleased at this time. David was very patient as we exceeded our session time by nearly 30 minutes. He seems passionate about music and his approach to teaching the right way (e.g., "old school, not rock school or tabs") aligns with my objectives in learning as a 43 year old adult student. I'm very eager to learn guitar and feel like I'm on the right path with David.

I have always wanted to learn guitar but never pursued it until a close friend began lessons with Mr. Judd. I never would of dreamed being able to look at music and know what the notes actually were. It is obvious that he enjoys what he does because the lessons are insightful, fun, and it never seems a chore. He is very patient, encouraging, and Instills the need for discipline in practice in order to truly appreciate the joy music can bring to the soul. He truly wants to share with his students such a gift. He accomplishes all of this with infectious laughter...if you desire to learn to play an instrument but fear feeling intimidated, look no further...It is better to learn from someone who is passionate about what he does than to waste your time and money on someone who doesn't take a vested interest in your won,t be disappointed!

Learning with David has been quite an enjoyable experience. I've had only one lesson thus far and am anxious for the next. I highly doubt you will regret learning from this man.

I am one of Mr. Judd's older (56) guitar students. Mr. Judd is patient and is sensitive to the student's age and experience that each one brings. is a job for him but he loves music and takes it personally if I learn. I would recommend Mr. Judd for anyone young or old that is serious about wanting to learn a music instrument.

I wanted to wait till I had my 2nd lesson- just to make sure I enjoyed it as much as the 1st. I DID!!
Mr. Judd seems to really care that you learn the correct way and I have tried the others, no comparison. He is very accommodating with the students time. I am having a ball this time. and I am learning some notes and not dots on a sheet of paper that someone drew. and He has a bunch of stuff on the walls to look at,

My daughter, age 14, and my son, age 9, took up weekly lessons, guitar and piano respectively, with Mr. Judd this past fall. I am very impressed with the amount of musical knowledge my two children have obtained under Mr. Judd's guidance in a short amount of time. My children look forward to going to their weekly lessons as they know it is time well-spent and always something new to be learned. Mr. Judd is kind, professional, encouraging, and fun. As far as teachers go, Mr. Judd is a treasure and we are thankful for the opportunity to learn the joys of music with him. Highly recommended!

Mr. Judd is an excellent teacher. Being a teacher myself I know how important it is to relate whatever is being taught to something the student already knows and Mr. Judd does a great job doing this. His studio is a very comfortable setting and can be inspiring being there are dozens of beautiful guitars hanging on the walls. With his experience he knows the steps to learning how to successfully play the guitar and will teach it the right way with no shortcuts. He is a great guitar player himself so when you are not quite getting something he can model it for you and give you a sound to strive for. I would not hesitate to recommend Mr. Judd to anyone at any level.

We have been sending our son to Mr. Judd for guitar lessons for about 9 months now. Mr. Judd makes it fun. The half an hour lessons always go by quickly. We think he has done such a great job that we just recently started our daughter on piano lessons with him. His new studio is very nice, and comfortable. I could not recommend him more highly.
