I have been taking violin lessons from her and recently added piano as well. I’m in my thirties and was quite nervous about beginning and what issues I might have. I was also nervous that I might get a judgmental or very “by the book” sort of teacher with no personality. She is neither! She is absolutely attentive to your needs but also open minded that everyone is different and learns at different paces. She is perfectly willing to work with you and adapt to your personality and the kind of musical direction you may want to go in. Furthermore, you really feel you are getting a good value as a student, as well as gaining a friend you can be honest with about your lessons. The flexibility of her lessons as oppose to a structured format you may find in a school system really help you to grow at your own pace, and in your own direction. You never feel like you’re wasting any time or money as she catches on very quickly to what you need to work on and what you have already grasped. She also adds just the right amount of pressure, without being intimidating or scary. She has turned out to be exactly what I was looking for in a teacher and I genuinely can’t think of any negative qualities. I highly recommend her for ALL AGES.

Details: 26 - 44 years old • No formal training • No, the student cannot read music • Classical violin • Jazz • Rock • Blues • Country • Classical • Folk • Yes, the student has a violin • 60 minutes • I travel to the violin teacher • The violin teacher travels to me

Elizabeth has made my learning piano (very very beginner) so approachable and fun! She has a wonderful way of explaining things to someone with no previous musical knowledge and makes the entire process much less intimidating. HIGHLY recommend!!!

Elizabeth is immensely knowledgeable as a teacher. She is very efficient, with a multitude of things being covered in one session. Not just my technique, but also my understanding of phrasing passages has improved greatly since I first began taking lessons with her; overall, I would highly recommend her as your purveyor of musical wisdom.

Lovely lady to talk to, let me tell you. This one is a grand example--nay, an area of infinite tranquility--in the wacky world of shifting and other frustrating doo-hikies written into our assigned compositions. So worth the tuition, feel I as though there exists such a difference in my playing since I started working with Elizabeth. Madder than a March hare, I would be by now without her assistance. Endless praise, can't wait for my next lesson.

I have learned so much from my lessons with Elizabeth! She is an amazing musician and teacher. Lessons with her are full of information and good advice while still being fun, engaging, and inspiring. My technique on my instrument has gotten so much better since I started working with her, and I love playing music more than ever!
