Katie is such an amazing, professional and knowledgeable make-up artist. She truly listens to your requests and feedback. She also makes sure you are 100% satisfied. If you don't know exactly what you want she has you covered there too. She has amazing ideas about what will work with your dress, skin tone, hair color and eyes. I have a very picky teenage daughter who needed homecoming make up one weekend and wedding make up the next. Katie had her beaming with pride when she was finished ((both times)). She looked FLAWLESS!!! I am proud to say Katie is now our PERMANENT go to make up girl!!! I can honestly say we had overwhelming amounts of compliments on her make up for both events.

I would recommend Katie to anyone that wants to look better than beautiful for any special occasion! She did makeup for me and my bridal party on my wedding day and everyone looked stunning! Working with Ms. Katie was a blast! She was completely concerned with what I wanted, and the outcome of her work was incredible. I had a great time getting my makeup done by her, the price was very reasonable, and I absolutely loved how I looked. I will definitely go to her again when I need my makeup done.

What should the customer know about your pricing (e.g., discounts, fees)?
I wouldn't say that my pricing is complicated, but here are the details. Each makeup application is a standard $50. For areas outside of Ascension Parish, I do charge a travel fee that matches the hourly rate of $50. For instance, to go to Baton Rouge would be half an hour for me, so I would charge a $25 travel fee.
What education and/or training do you have that relates to your work?
Yes, I continually subscribe to several beauty channels and productions to stay abreast of current trends. I am also enrolled in makeup classes to learn new techniques.
How did you get started doing this type of work?
I have always been really good at doing makeup on myself. At the urging of several of my friends, I decided to start practicing on others and realized it was something I was good at doing on others as well. I realized I love that moment when a woman or young lady looks in the mirror after I have done her makeup, and she smiles, or says "Oh wow!" That made me strive to become a professional and make people's special days even more special.
