Sorry this pro can’t do your job, but we know other pros who can.
Introduction: I love meeting new people and experiencing their restaurants. The only thing I love more than food is photography so my job is incredibly fulfilling in that respect. I enjoy the ever-changing photography market and like the fact that it requires me to constantly change and grow the way I approach a project.

FAQs

  • What should the customer know about your pricing (e.g., discounts, fees)?

I charge a flat rate of $700 for a half day (4 hours) and $1200 for an entire day (8 hours). My stylist and I will come onsite and photograph your items with our entire arsenal of camera and styling equipment built into this cost. This is a no hidden fee rate including travel up to 15 miles from New Orleans, materials, editing, archiving, guaranteed 5 day turnaround, photos on disc and promotional usage rights. I require half of the fee upfront, and the other half upon delivery. If you need me to travel greater than 15 miles we can discuss a small travel fee depending on the location. If you require more than a days worth of work I am open to discussing a discounted rate for multiple days.

  • What types of customers have you worked with?

I strive to capture the essence of an establishment by taking it's personality and ambience into account when I photograph the food. Working closely with the chef(s) and owner(s) allows me to represent what they have to offer in the most genuine and attractive way possible. Most places need a one time photography session, but I find clients coming back time and again when they update their menus or add specials because of my reasonable and straight-forward pricing. Not only am I a photographer, I'm a foodie to boot which means I appreciate all things food, and know exactly what it takes to make it look as good as it tastes.

  • What advice would you give a customer looking to hire a provider in your area of work?

If you are looking to hire a food photographer, there are some important questions you need to ask anyone providing you with a quote. Sometimes there are charges or fees that may not be included in the rate ie. travel, materials costs and more. It's good to ask questions like: Will the rate include editing or will that cost extra? How long will it take to get the finished product after the day of the shoot? Does the payment include usage of the photos for promotional purposes? Can I use them outside my restaurant for advertising etc? Make sure to ask questions and take into account the entire scope in which you intend on using the finished product.
