I am a former Justice of the Peace and a retired minister who does weddings in the New Orleans French Quarter and other Louisiana and Mississippi towns. Get married in historic spots in the French Quarter, in beautiful parks, or on a beach in the Gulf Coast for as little as $300.00. More details and booking info on my web page.
From simple elopements to special ceremonies all types of weddings are performed. A real local person trained with degrees from real universities, not a web based ordination and not a booking agent. I will go to your location.

Question and answer

Q. Why does your work stand out from others who do what you do?

A. I am a retired ordained Presbyterian Lay Minister with a law degree. I served as Justice of the Peace and am a real local person not a booking agent in another state or a paid web page referral service. I graduated from LSU in 1971 with a BA and in 1974 with a Juris Doctor. I served in my church for years in all positions. I retired and now do a lot of weddings.

Q. What do you like most about your job?

A. I enjoy meeting people from all over the USA and helping make their wedding a special occasion.

Q. What do you wish customers knew about you or your profession?

A. Book your officiant early. Couples book halls, bands, food, then remember yes we need a wedding officiant. Without the officiant there is no wedding, they should be contacted first.

Q. How did you decide to get in your line of work?

A. After I retired I was asked by several wedding planners if I would do weddings for them. From that it grew so I do a lot of weddings for couples visiting New Orleans to be married.

Q. Write your own question and answer it.

A. How can I save money on my wedding?

Often couples contact me as I have a web page that says you can get married for under $300 at a historic spot or a beautiful public park. They do not desire to go through the stress and planning of a large wedding with a lot of expense so they call and e-mail me about details of something simple, nice, but cheap. Over the last 15 years I have tried to help those couples out by finding nice spots where up to ten people can gather and we do a small wedding. Most public parks allow picnics and most elopements are actually smaller than a picnic. We find a spot, gather together and do a short legal wedding ceremony to comply with law and they are married. After that couples like to do something special. Some take a cruise or head to a nice restaurant or a carriage ride in the French Quarter. A simple elopement removes the stress and expense of a large wedding. I also do large weddings at many local places but have discovered a lot of couples would rather just get married in a nice spot but not a Court House.
Several lovely parks, the lake front, and other spots are available in New Orleans for elopements. I also have used several nice areas in the French Quarter and along the river. If the public can gather for a family function then a simple elopement is also allowed. If you have any questions e-mail for details.
