About
Learn CPR, AED, BLS, ACLS, PALS, bloodborne pathogens or first aid today! Recognize the symptoms of an SCA, stroke, heart attack, and how to do CPR (for adults, children, and infants), Heimlich maneuver (choking), and rescue breathing. In addition, we will teach you how to use an Automated External Defibrillator (AED) for victims of sudden cardiac arrest. These important devices are becoming available in more and more public places, such as airports, hotels, schools, and health clubs. Visit our AED store to purchase your own HeartStart defibrillator. Gain confidence in your ability to handle medical emergencies. This first aid portion of the course provides skills in first aid emergencies such as bleeding, burns, seizures, and fractures, along with accident prevention. The class also meets OSHA standards for childcare providers. Our American Heart Association Healthcare Provider BLS course is designed for people with job-related duties in emergency preparedness and response. This course covers 1 and 2 person CPR adult, child and infant CPR, use of an AED on both a child and adult, choking for infants to adults, airway obstruction, bag valve mask, and how to use a breathing barrier or pocket mask. Come to our offices in Miami, Fort Lauderdale, Coral Springs or West Palm Beach for CPR, AED, First Aid, BLS, PALS, and ACLS classes, or we travel to you! What is CPR? CPR is performed on victims who are not breathing and do not have a pulse. There is no greater emergency. CPR has the effect of getting much-needed oxygen to the brain, where it can keep the nerves of the brain alive long enough for someone to get the patient's heart beating again. Brain cells start dying immediately without oxygen, and irreversible brain damage starts somewhere around 4 minutes. Without immediate CPR, the chances of survival are small. The question that must be asked is: what kind of lifestyle will that person lead if someone doesn’t intervene? 47% of all heart attack and stroke victims die before emergency rescue arrives. Is your business prepared? If you or a co-worker suffers from a heart attack or sudden cardiac arrest, will someone be prepared to step in and perform life-saving CPR?
