Introduction: Dear future customer, Do you need something fixed, built or installed? Since 2001, I have run a busy and successful handyman and carpentry business that has served hundreds of people. Clients consistently report on the evaluation form I give them that they would recommend me to friends, and that I do excellent work. I am easy to deal with and communicate clearly and honestly. Call or e-mail me if you have tasks you want done around your home or business. I have two options available for you. For option A, you may want to hire me to do them or for B, you want to hire me to do the work with you, and you learn how to do it. Regarding option A, I repair the imperfect, install the difficult and assemble the boxed and mysterious! I provide most carpentry services such as building new walls, installing shelves, fixing and installing doors, putting in decks, etc. I also do basic plumbing, electrical, painting, tiling and concrete work. I am skilled and careful. I also have many, many references. I assemble Ikea furniture and other boxed things. I install, repair or replace ceiling lights, lamps, outlets, faucets, TV mounts, medicine cabinets, beds, furniture, vanities, toilets, fans, garbage disposals, thermostats, vents, etc. I do large and small painting jobs, install and uninstall air conditioners, install closets from Ikea, California, Easy Closets, etc., fix fences, clean gutters, and power wash decks and such. I often stain or paint the deck soon after power washing. I often work solo, and I would be happy to do small jobs. If your job calls for a helper or assistant or two, I will then enlist the services of one of my associates, all of whom are people of skill and integrity. In one-man mode, I often do "little things" like installing shelves, towel racks, blinds, curtains, closet hardware, pet doors, etc. I often repair or install storm doors. I am especially experienced with door repairs and installations and small carpentry projects. For example, I built a new shed door and a wooden radiator cover for an Arlington couple. I built a long trapezoidal shelf for a Cambridge resident who puts her bed at a diagonal against the corner of her bedroom, and I built a closet in the same room as well. Just this week, I installed a new storm door for a couple of teachers. I installed three custom-made set of wood shelves in their kitchen as well. A while ago, I worked in a $1.1 million house in Lexington and built a wall to divide a large room into two rooms - a hot tub room and a conservatory. The wall was easy to build, nothing special there, but since the room had a slanted ceiling, putting in five partitions from the wall up to the ceiling and then installing trapezoid-shaped glass into each partition took a little more thought. It was a fun job. It came out very good, and the customers were quite pleased. In your home, what needs to be built, fixed or installed? Regarding option B, you may lack tools and experience, or you may think you are not handy. Perhaps you just need some patient guidance. Chances are, with my help, you can get that door to fit just right, install some shelving, install a banister, install a faucet to replace the one you don't like or fix the one that is leaking, or assemble anything that comes in a box, etc. If we try option B and you get tired of it or are truly not handy, I can always just finish the job by myself, of course! You can reach me by phone or by e-mail. When you write or call, please let me know where you are located and what work you want done. If you call me and get my voice mail, please include your phone number, leave it twice, and indicate how late and how early I may call you back.

All the work Paul has done for me in the 10 years I've been using him has stood the test of time (which is more than I can say for that of others). He's not only skilled but smart and creative in coming up with the best and most economical solution. Appears on time and cleans up. What more could one ask in a handyman?

Paul performed a myriad of small to medium repair jobs for me in the spring and summer. From tricky electrical work, repairing a bathroom ceiling beautifully and in a cost-effective way, getting my doorbell working again well and at minimum cost, to putting ACs in, and painting, Paul worked efficiently, carefully, and creatively. I found Paul to be an excellent communicator, a great problem solver, doing his work efficiently and creatively. He was open to suggestions, and did his work always being in great spirits. I know it's a cliche, but indeed no job was too big or too small for Paul. I've had handymen before, but Paul stands out for his skills, efficiency, creativity, communication, dependability, and great attitude. I've already begun making a list for fall projects for Paul: taking out and storing ACs, hanging new shades, and opening some large lateral file cabinets of which I lost the keys, and more to come. I also have recommended Paul to a friend in the area.

Paul's web presence and Angie's List rating is what brought me to him. I emailed Paul regarding some prompt and thorough work I needed to prep my Condo for sale. He was able to fit me in - Coming by late on a Friday evening to do a walkthrough of the job and even brought in extra help to make sure the job was done on time in the 3 days I had available. It was great working with Paul, who was very thorough in making sure everything met my desires, and was sure to redo work if it didn't come out just right. Our place looks fantastic, and I actually was prepared for the total cost to be more: Paul worked very hard and fast, and I look forward to working with him again in the future!

Paul is terrific -- a gentleman handyman and philosopher. Excellent work and impeccable honesty. We have worked with him for over 5 years on 20 or so jobs ranging from fixing windows to redoing bathrooms.
