Very happy with A+ Mobile. After several frustrating experiences with the local "Geek" companies, I found A+ Mobile and these guys are true IT professionals. I'm pleased with the work they did on several of my own PC's, and they fixed this printer issue that has been going on for about 1 year in our Boston real estate agency's office. I will definitely use them again.

Question and answer
Q. Describe the most common types of jobs you do for your clients.
A. Virus removal, DC jack repair, lcd replacement, motherboard replacement, data recovery, hard drive replacement (reformat and re-installation of Windows), data center management, structured cabling and telecom jobs are the most common.
Q. What advice do you have for a customer looking to hire a provider like you?
A. That they should think about lowing their overhead by outsourcing some of the IT work, and that they may want to take the time to read our blog posting.
Q. If you were a customer, what do you wish you knew about your trade? Any inside secrets to share?
A. If we were customers, we would want to know how many companies out there that represent themselves as true IT services companies, yet they are just kids with some technical knowledge - most of which have not even graduated college, most of which work out of their parents home - almost none of which carry insurance so if they botch the job and lose all your data you have zero recourse. You want to make sure you work with experienced (over 10 years) technicians that really know their business. So we always say, Buyers Beware!
Q. What questions should a consumer ask to hire the right service professional?
A. Some of the questions we recommend asking when interviewing different IT services are:
1) Are they insured (both general liability and workers comp) and could their insurance agent email you proof of their policies directly to them?
2) How long have they been in business?
3) Are their technicians employees or sub-contractors?
4) Do they have references?
Those are just a couple questions I would ask...
Q. Why does your work stand out from others who do what you do?
A. We have been in business for about 10 years, carry full general liability insurance and workers comp, have an A+ rating from the Better Business Bureau, and never leave a single customer behind in the sense that we will not charge unless they customer is happy. Also, every single one of our technicians has been in the IT services filed for over 10 years, we are not junior tech's, but senior techs that collaboratively bring years of experience to the table.
Q. What do you like most about your job?
A. The freedom to not have to wear a suit every day, and I get to work with computers and networks, something I truly enjoy.
Q. What questions do customers most commonly ask you? What's your answer?
A. Q: Why is my PC running so slowly.
A: Most likely you have viruses and needs a good cleaning, perhaps also a RAM upgrade, and you should also refer to our blog posting.
Q. Do you do any sort of continuing education to stay up on the latest developments in your field?
A. Yes. Our technicians are constantly taking courses to stay on top of the latest technologies and to obtain industry leading certifications, especially with Microsoft and Cisco.
You must stay ahead of the curve since technologies are evolving so quickly. If you do not, you for sure will get left behind.
Q. If you were advising someone who wanted to get into your profession, what would you suggest?
A. Stay in school and look for an internship with the best and most successful company around to try to get in the door. Continue studying and working towards advanced industry certifications such as Microsoft A+ hardware/software, Net+, MCP, MCSE and then Cisco CCNA, CCNP, etc. You also should try to at least get some part time work at a help desk to get your feet wet and be patient - this industry, however accelerated, still takes years to learn and get good at. I would also recommend listening and absorbing everything you can.
