Sorry this pro can’t do your job, but we know other pros who can.
Introduction: Learning to sing is a lifelong undertaking that necessitates dedication, an inquisitive mind and patience. That being said, the process should still be fun and exciting. While my approach is serious and our time together will be well spent - studying singing with me will be above all fun. My studio runs the gamut in regard to the levels of singers I teach. I have many students who are beginners simply looking to improve their voices for their own personal gratification. I also teach many students who are preparing for auditions or looking to make a career out of singing. A typical hour long lesson will be structured into two halves. The first half, give or take a few minutes, will be work focused on technique - using proven exercises to address technical vocal issues and tonal problems. The second half will then be used to apply these ideas to the music we are working on together. I received my master's degree in vocal performance from Boston University, and my Doctorate from the University of Colorado Boulder. Lessons can help anyone build confidence in one's musical and artistic expression. Together we will use your preferred genre of music to work on breathing, resonance balancing, relaxation and postural techniques. If you are interested I offer a complimentary 30 minute trial lesson and initial consultation so that you can decide whether or not you would enjoy studying with me.

I am very lucky to have Paul Halverson as my voice teacher. He knows how to help you achieve the tone and quality of voice you are looking for.The exercises to strengthen and relax your vocal chords are great. The beautiful selection of music he has given me which includes classical arias to light jazz is challenging and fun but his professionalism; his drive to teach and show you techniques and discipline is very good. I am beginning to learn songs I thought I would not or could not sing. He's Great C.A.

Paul has been very patient and professional throughout all of our lessons so far. We have talked about my goals and he is helping in taking steps to achieve them and is patiently trying multiple approaches with any issues I may be having. I am continuing to work with him and recommend him for whatever your goals may be.
