Experienced voice teacher seeks new students with a joy for making music and a passion for singing; all levels are welcome. Amy Dancz is a classically trained soprano with a comprehensive background in foreign languages, pedagogy, and stage performance. Upcoming performances include engagements with Boston Lyric Opera, Boston Opera Collaborative, and Boston Metro Opera.
From the New England Conservatory of Music, she acquired her Master's of Music in Vocal Performance, as well as a Bachelor's of Music in Vocal Performance from the University of Miami, with minors in Theatre, German, and French. She has studied in Vienna, Austria at the Universitaet fuer Musik und darstellende Kunst, in Salzburg, Austria at Salzburg College and Berlin, Germany. She has studied with world-renowned teachers including Patricia Wise, Dr. Nobleza Pilar, and Georgia Michaelides.
Amy is presently welcoming students of all kinds of musical backgrounds who desire to foster a healthy and tension-free stage confidence, vocal technique, and musical expression. Lessons are accessible from the Arlington Stop on the Green line or Back Bay Station on the Orange line. All styles of repertoire are encouraged (jazz, pop, classical, etc).
