Introduction: Yoga can be prescriptive and change day to day based on how your physical body feels, your energy level, and your mood. I will design a session that will be accessible and challenging at the same time and make you feel GOOD! Each session will have you moving on your mat, focusing on strength, flexibility, stamina and safe alignment. In addition to focusing on asana, we will tap in to the breath through pranayama and meditation in order to manifest a more mindful space within that you are able to take with you off of your mat. Arlene is excellent in a one on one setting. While I’ve attempted yoga in the past, group settings do not address the unique characteristics everyone has. Not is Arlene incredibly supportive, she’s constantly analyzing my body and developing a practice uniquely suited for me. Scott P.

I had a not great experience with a couple yoga classes years ago so had steered clear of it. Finally decided to take a private class-very glad I did. I am 53, previous runner, weight lifter with hip issues. Arlene was GREAT. Good pace, explains things as we went along. I felt better after first appt and eventually even went back to class. Highly recommend Arlene-that hard to find combination of experienced and knowledgeable with warm, nurturing personality.

This is the only time in my life where I have willingly and happily committed to exercise. I find myself actually looking forward to yoga because I know I am going to leave class feeling better physically and mentally. Unlike other trainers or classes, I have never felt judged on my lack of experience or intimidated by the pace of instruction. Arleen from Align puts so much thought and care into her class preparations and she caters her instruction to the level of expertise of each of her students. Under her tutelage, I have become much more confident and comfortable in my practice. Doing yoga has been pivotal in strengthening my back and core muscles, which has drastically reduced some serious, ongoing pain I have been having for the last several years. Arleen has been in tune and considerate of my trouble spots, while still challenging me to become healthier and stronger. After each class, she gives tips on stretches and exercises I can do at home and before the next class she always checks in to see how I am feeling and if there are any other issues that she should address. I would recommend doing yoga with Arleen to anyone who is looking to improve their strength, flexibility and overall physical and mental health.
