About
I lead by example. I don't preach, I show my clients what it's like to be fit and how to get there. For me fitness is not about a look, it's about a feeling. It's not about the number on the scale, it's about how I feel when I fit back into an old pair of jeans or the sense of pride I feel when I cross the finish line at my next 5k. Having this mentality is how I get my clients to turn their goals into reality. This is why so many of them see the results they desire; it's a mindset change. Seeing results in my clients. There is nothing more satisfying then helping people reach their fitness goals.

I've been training with Kristen for almost a year now. I have reached my weight loss goals, but also become a lot stronger. Kristen has also helped me change my lifestyle so I can maintain my wight loss. She is very knowledgeable and makes every workout interesting. Kristen is also really good at incorporating your workout goals into the routine, is extremely patient but also very encouraging. I am so glad to be training with her!

I have been training with Kristen for 5 years and have seen excellent results. My original goal was to lose weight, which I accomplished in the first year. As I have entered my mid-thirties, Kristen has helped me to maintain my weight, build muscle tone, and work towards my cardiovascular fitness goals. She is calm, patient, focused and dedicated, and she is a good listener. She puts together varied workouts that are fun and challenging. I would highly recommend Kristen for anyone looking for a personal trainer.

Kristen's hybrid interactive training sessions were just what I needed to start lifting weights again. We started by going over my goals during an in-person meeting and checked in about the exercise plan once a week via Skype. It's easy to lose motivation when you're doing the same exercises over and over again. That's why the check-ins with Kristen were so great. She would make tweaks to the plan every week making the workouts more challenging. Not only did I have fun doing the exercises, the check-ins and weekly exercise log also created accountability to stick to the plan. Kristen's approach is a great way to get personal training if you're looking to stay motivated and have variety in your workout routine.

I have been working with Kristen for nearly 5 years. We have focused on strength training and aerobic exercise. I am stronger and have more endurance and flexibility now. Kristen is very professional and an excellent listener. She is a great motivator. We have a very good relationship and I feel she understands what I need to help me reach my goals. I was fortunate to work with her weekly, but when I could no longer do so, Kristen was flexible and helped work out a schedule so I could continue with her. Most importantly, I look forward to our sessions and enjoy my workout with her. Working with Kristen has been and continues to be an extremely positive experience for me. I highly recommend her.

Kristen has worked with me in both a virtual (Skype) and in-person capacity. She has a wonderful approach and tone; is super knowledgeable and is not a drill sergeant. You find yourself wanting to live up to her expectations! She is terrific at tailoring a workout to meet your capabilities, needs and goals, and sincerely cares about making a positive difference.

FAQs

  • How did you get started doing this type of work?

I began my own fitness journey when I was in my mid 20's. I found myself out of shape and on the chunkier side. I spent a good few years figuring out the whole nutrition and exercise thing. I finally found my way to a fitter, happier me. I chose to become a personal trainer because I want to help others feel good too.
