My fiance Patrick and I had such a great experience working with Elizabeth on our engagement shoot. We were both pretty nervous going into it - but she made us feel so relaxed, and we ended up having so much fun. We are SO happy with how the photographs came out - Elizabeth Clark Photography was a great choice!!

I was very careful while choosing a photographer to document my newborn's first days/weeks in the world. Elizabeth did not disappoint! I was SO happy with not only her work, but also with her. She was fantastic and captured a precious time in my life with beautiful pictures. I can't wait for her to take pictures of my baby for future events!

Question and answer

Q. Describe the most common types of jobs you do for your clients.

A. I photography families and loved ones in a natural and intimate manner. These can be traditional family portraits or more unique documentary sessions. I also love doing engagement shoots and parties.

Q. Describe three recent jobs you've completed.

A. The past three jobs I have had were two family sessions and one engagement session. The engagement session took place in downtown Boston and one family shoot was in Burlington, the other in Ipswich (at the Crane Estate).

Q. What advice do you have for a customer looking to hire a provider like you?

A. Please make sure to take some time and really look at the gallery samples of my own and other photographers work. Make sure it draws you in and inspires you. You want to make sure that you receive special images to cherish for a lifetime! Also, make sure you convey what your goals are for the photo shoot. Communication is key - the more we know about you beforehand the better the images will come out.

Q. Why does your work stand out from others who do what you do?

A. My work is inspired by fine art and fashion. My background was in the arts - I received a BA from Amherst College and MFA in Photography from the School of Visual Arts. While you will receive some traditional portraits, you also should expect pieces that are edgy, romantic, beautiful, and unique. I encourage my clients to pick pieces to adorn their walls that are different than what you typically see.

Q. What do you like most about your job?

A. Definitely meeting new people! It is amazing how many wonderful and interesting people are out there. I've always been an avid reader of personal stories, so I particularly enjoy learning real life stories and portraying a developed personality on film - telling my own visual narrative of the inspiring people I meet.

I also have to admit I get great pleasure out of creating pretty images. Perhaps it is shallow, but I enjoy looking at pretty, emotionally charged pictures. Probably the reason I was drawn to the arts in the first place...
