Introduction: The one major "stand out" with my work is that I am ecelectic in my design. I make sure that I don't create an atomosphere that is completely contemporary or completely traditional. Little elements of either style always completes a room best. My other trait in design is that I make sure the design reflects my customers likes not my own.

When most people look to hire a designer they seem to focus on the interior of the home; however, the outside is the first glimpse of your dream that your visitors will see and Maria is your designer for both views. I recently had a cabin built in the mountains of Vermont and Maria and I went back and forth all day long as to the alignment, spacing and size of the 3 upstairs windows in the front of the cabin. The end result turned out to be the difference between a great look and a spectacular look, and as it was difficult for me to see it on paper, she knew exactly what she (and I) wanted to see. She continued on into the interior of the cabin and her ideas, whether they be major or minor, have made the same difference inside. I have known Maria all my life, and her ethics, her love of design and her patience with clients (as this is a very stressful time for many people) is amazing. You don't find her qualities very often in today's business world, especially in her profession. I will be more than happy to speak personally with anyone who may looking to hire Maria. You will not be disappointed!!!!!! You will be thrilled!

We've had the pleasure of working with Maria Monaco at Monaco Designs on two occasions. First, she created an overall "look" for our great-room (kitchen/living/dining room) and offered a selection of color combinations for the general character of the space, along with stone samples for our large fireplace which dominates the room. An expert kitchen designer, she made our small kitchen look spectacular. She really understood what we were after and helped us create exactly the right feel for our cottage-style home. We must have said "Aha! that's it!" over and over again. She really had great ideas. The second time we worked together, she helped us design and decorate our condo in Germany, and we couldn't be happier with the result. Even the bathroom is a pleasure to be in - artfully designed and quite original. Maria is highly experienced, reliable, responsible, easy to work and full of ideas. We can't recommend her highly enough.

Monaco Designs LLC has been a lifesaver for us. For three different projects...kitchen, bath and living room...Maria brought both the knowledge of products and options AND a fine artistic eye to fill the gaps in our vision of a lovely home. Her contractors are top-notch, respectful and clean...no mess at the end of the day. And who'd have thought window treatments could be so essential to a great look. Maria knew and made a custom look that impresses everyone. A real pro with a great attitude.

FAQs

What advice would you give a customer looking to hire a provider in your area of work?
I offer consultations w/ potential customers so that they can meet me and decide if i am the type of designer they think would best fit their project. I also offer to bring out samples and materials for the particular project they are doing at our first meeting for a fee of $250. This is very helpful for the customer to actually hear what i have to suggest for the project. The reason i charge is because they can take what information i give to them and continue with the project themselves or then hire me to proceed with further information and services.
