Paws for Praise is a positive dog training facility in Danvers, MA. We offer puppy and dog training classes from basic manners through specialty classes, such as rocket recall (come when called), hound about town (polite leash walking), tricks class, and our signature CGC/therapy dog prep class.

We offer tiny tykes classes especially for small breeds, and we have a drop-in "yappy hour" play group, so that our clients' puppies can learn good social skills, and so their dogs can continue to be social as adults.

Our training uses modern, science-based, force-free methods that are easy to learn, family friendly, and dog friendly. The environment at Paws for Praise is congenial and non-competitive, and classes are generally kept small to ensure lots of personal attention for each dog and handler.

Make a tail wag! Train at Paws for Praise.

Q. If you were a customer, what do you wish you knew about your trade? Any inside secrets to share?

A. I would want to know how important it is to choose a dog that matches my lifestyle, and that it's never too early or too late to train a dog. I'd want to know why trainers would love it if people called them even before they acquire a dog: http://pawsforpraise.wordpress.com/2011/12/07/what-do-we-have-to-do/
