FAQs
- What should the customer know about your pricing (e.g., discounts, fees)?
I typically work with clients to set a reasonable hourly rate and go from there.
- What education and/or training do you have that relates to your work?
I am fortunate that I work in higher ed, so I'm able to stay current with developments in the trade. I am an active member of MASFAA (Massachusetts Association of Student Financial Aid Administrators) where I'm co-chair of a committee, and I'm nationally credentialed by NASFAA. I attend conferences each year to stay up on changes. In 2014, I will be presenting at MASFAA, and attending Federal Student Aid (U.S. Department of Education) and a financial aid workshop from the CollegeBoard.
- How did you get started doing this type of work?
I've been in education for over a decade. Even before that, education was incredibly important in my life and I've been transformed by my educational opportunities and experiences.
