Question and answer

Q. What advice do you have for a customer looking to hire a provider like you?

A. In looking for a photographer for your most special day, my single and most important advise is to have a personal meeting with your photographer so you can see his actual work.
Even if the meeting takes half an hour or even 2 hours, it is a time well spent as you can discuss want you want and expect from your photographer. For example, your photographer have his routine formal poses. You can suggest poses that you want beforehand and not be surprized after the wedding that you didn't do some poses.

Q. If you were a customer, what do you wish you knew about your trade? Any inside secrets to share?

A. One thing is that some of the photography companies are out of state companies. They hire freelance photographers in the state that they advertise their services.

Q. What questions should a consumer ask to hire the right service professional?

A. Can I see your completed works?
How many years have you been in your business?
Do you have a website?
Do you have a studio?
Do you have a calling card?
Are there any hidden charges that we should know?
Do we get a proof book or just a disk?
What other packages do you provide?

Q. What important information should buyers have thought through before seeking you out?

A. Important information before seeking me out?
Probably, the date of the wedding.
Prices and services offered by other vendors before they compare me to others so we can compare oranges to oranges and compare apples to apples.

Q. Why does your work stand out from others who do what you do?

A. I think I am reasonable when it comes to pricing. I price reasonable so I get more work and go to more parties. I love to be in parties although I cannot dance or sing in your wedding. Sorry.

Q. What do you like most about your job?

A. I like taking pictures. I also like the music at the reception especially if it is a live band, the food, nice well dressed people. I also like to travel and see the different venues and country clubs. I also like the speeches of the bestmen or maid of honors as they are sometimes funny,

Q. Tell us about a recent job you did that you are particularly proud of.

A. One work that I covered was a Quinceanera or a Sweet 16 in Lowell, Massachusetts. Although a sweet 16 is not a wedding, I took pictures as if it was a wedding. I'm proud of it because the mother called me up and was crying with joy about the pictures they received as they didn't expect the work to be that good.

Q. What is your greatest strength?

A. My greatest strenght? Probably, I like taking pictures so that the work is fun to me and I can do it everyday without getting tired of it.
