- What should the customer know about your pricing (e.g., discounts, fees)?
KJ Tunes is committed to offering reasonable, competitive rates for its experienced, professional services. While the total cost for an event will vary depending on factors such as the length of the event, requests for additional services such as lighting and effects, ceremony sound, and travel expenses outside the southeastern Massachusetts area, our standard rate is generally $150 an hour for family events and private functions, with a two-hour minimum to book. Our 2017 wedding packages begin at $200 an hour and include ceremony music and sound (PA), lighting effects and uplighting, along with full emcee and reception planning services. Most wedding ceremony/reception packages run between $800 and $1,000 — a bargain for professional, experienced DJ services.
- What is your typical process for working with a new customer?
I like to have an introductory meeting -- preferably in-person -- where we can discuss what your vision is for your event or wedding and what your expectations are from me as DJ and emcee. It's important that we are both comfortable with each other if we're going to be working together.
- What education and/or training do you have that relates to your work?
I have a degree in English/Writing and have extensive experience in public speaking and teaching, both of which lend themselves to serving as an emcee for events. I also have more than 25 years of experience with video, audio and computer technology -- all of which are useful skills in providing a complete, multimedia entertainment experience.
