Dan does high quality work, on time and in budget. He takes the time to understand what you want, explain what is possible, and design the best project. He answers calls and emails within one or two days. Just to give you an idea of his attention to detail, we were creating an inset bookcase with trim. We wanted the trim to match the trim on the door in the same room, but the wood we needed to match is from around 1900 or so. He took the time to take about 10 photos of the door trim to get the detailed grain and then found a store in Cambridge that sold old wood. The match is so close you would have to know to look to see any difference. We couldn't be more satisfied and it only took three consecutive days!

Very happy with the work Dan did at my house. I would highly recommend him. Takes pride in his work, very organized and a really nice guy. Planning to hire him again in the near future to do another job. Thanks Dan.

FAQs

  • How did you get started doing this type of work?

When I was 12 or 13 years old I got a summer job working for a builder. I really enjoyed working with my hands. I found that I had a natural talent for carpentry. I also got a great feeling of pride and satisfaction being able to see what I had accomplished at the end of every day. I knew I was meant to be a carpenter.

  • What advice would you give a customer looking to hire a provider in your area of work?

Be sure you trust and are comfortable with whomever you hire. You will be entering into a relationship with this person and they will be working in your home.
