Hired on Thumbtack

I found Bryan through Thumbtack. He contacted me immediately and came to the house to see what needed to be done within a day. He was very professional, quoted me a very reasonable price, fit me right into his schedule, and did a great job. I will definitely be using him again in the future for additional drywall work I need done, and would highly recommend Bryan for anyone in need of drywall work.

Bryan was really easy to work with and was very flexible with scheduling. He repaired a hole in the drywall quickly and it came out great. I would absolutely work with him again in the future.

Brian is a professional who certainly knows what he is doing. He doesn't stop until your satisfied. In our case matching texture on our ceiling was something everyone else made a big deal about. Brian fixed a 2x3 foot hole and matched the texture after a couple of tries. He is a well educated courteous young family man who I would trust can do anything he says, and do it right. It is guys like Brian who make this world a great place to be. Thank you.

(Note that this review is being written by Jerry Booth, the person who actually did the hiring on this job): I cannot say enough good things about Bryan Arthur, who owns and operates B.A.'s Drywall Service and Repair. From the outset he was approachable to traveling to see the small project -- and was very straightforward about discussing options that could be considered to handle the repair. It quickly became apparent to me that this was a man who cared greatly about doing the not only best job he possibly could, but also the RIGHT job, even when it meant traveling a couple of towns over to purchase additional material needed to complete the work. While this wasn't what would be described as a "big project", it carried challenges because it required correcting an earlier, very amateurish, repair attempt performed by someone not qualified. One of the best parts of the experience was Bryan's refusal to stay anything other than upbeat throughout the task. His sense of humor and genuine good nature is a part of who he is and he brings it with him on the job. He is also beyond polite and respectful, which made me feel comfortable from the start. I would hire Bryan again in a heartbeat and, in fact, we have already had informal conversations about a future job. Thanks again Bryan. You made a difference.

Hired B.A's Drywall Service and Repair for patching 30+ small holes after updating the electrical lines. Bryan was really responsive and offered the satisfying jobs on all patches.

FAQs

  • How did you get started doing this type of work?

I decided to get in my line of work after I have been doing it since I was a kid. I started out mixing mud and spotting screws. Then i got big enough to help hang board and screw it off. After all of the hard stuff I was taught how to finish drywall and do many different kinds of textures, which I really started to love how my work looked after the job was completed and knew in my mind that I just did this. Made me feel great and I enjoyed what I do.

  • What advice would you give a customer looking to hire a provider in your area of work?

You should never go for the guy who has the cheapest price but the guy who actually comes out and gives an estimate, on time, and keeps in touch with you some how or some way. Either if its aleast by via email, phone call or text message. How the contractor carries himself will be the way he handles his business and his trade.
