We feature a state-of-the-art driving range with astro turf mats or grass tee area to hit off of, as well as a sand bunker to practice short game and a putting green. Yardage markers range from 75 yards to 250 yards with target greens.

Also available is an 18-hole miniature golf course with waterfalls, ponds, a stream and contoured greens beautifully landscaped with over 300 trees and bushes. A 3-stall open field batting range is available as well with 3 different speeds. What is unique about our batting range is that you hit out into the field, so no cage to stop the ball; you can see the ball fly hundreds of feet.

Also available are packages for birthday parties and large groups starting at $6.95 per person.

Golf lessons are offered (by appointment) by teaching professional John Ross. He has been teaching at this facility for over 10 years. From the beginner to the advanced player, he can help with all parts of your game.

Club repair service is also available, from re-gripping those old, worn out grips to re-shafting clubs. We carry many different styles of grips, from Lamkin to Golf Pride.

Q. Describe the most common types of jobs you do for your clients.

A. Retail, I greet customers as they visit my facility. They have choices of playing a round of miniature golf, practicing there golf swing on the driving range, or hitting a home run on the batting range. Customers bring me there golf clubs to repair, from broken shafts to regripping old worn out grips. Golf lessons are also available by appointment. Golf lessons help a person fine tune there game. Our teaching professional John Ross is USGTF certified and has been teaching the game of golf over 10 years. We also cater to family outing and birthday parties. We have had groups up to 70 people at our facility enjoying themselves.

Q. What advice do you have for a customer looking to hire a provider like you?

A. We offer a good product at an affordable price. Our prices are the lowest around because we don't have a high overhead. The facility has been around since 1951 and has been family owned since 1971. If you want to fine tune your golf game we have the facility to do it. If you want an afternoon of fun we can offer it with the 18 hole miniature golf. Or if you want to hit a home run our batting range is the place, with 3 stations to offer 3 different pitching speeds.

Q. If you were a customer, what do you wish you knew about your trade? Any inside secrets to share?

A. We are a small facility with friendly service. We get to know a lot of our repeat customers by first name. We give a good product at a reasonable price.

Q. What questions should a consumer ask to hire the right service professional?

A. Coming to our facility a customer may ask can I work on all parts of my golf game? The answer is yes, from driving the ball to the short game, to fine tuning there golf game with a lesson by John Ross. They may ask if there golf grips need to be replaced because of wear and tear? We carry many brands of grips with turn around time usually a day.

Q. How did you decide to get in your line of work?

A. The Lakeview driving range originated back in 1951 and has been family owned since 1971. I started working here at the age of 10. I grew up in the business. My father use to take me here to work and I had a great time as a child.I love the game of golf and always have. In this line of work you are dealing with the public. I have had repeat customers coming to my facility for a number of years. It is really the only thing I know how to do.
