I contacted Monika at Turek Design after seeing the work she did for a colleague of mine. I was starting from scratch and needed a new logo and a new website. I had no idea how to proceed, but Monika was terrific! She took charge and created a beautiful new website and logo for me, along with gift certificates and other business stationary. Q. What advice do you have for a customer looking to hire a provider like you?
A. - Beware the designer that has a porfolio filled with variations on one style. If you look at their portfolio and they have nothing but clones of one design, or a basic look that’s adjusted for the type of Website they’re designing, they probably do not have good enough skills to work on your project.
- I would recommend to look at the bottom of the homepage and to see if you find the designers name on it. Some web designers claim websites which have not created by them.
- When you approach a prospective designer, it’s your job to describe what you want. Be prepared to answer questions regarding your business, the functionality of the site your are looking for and much more. The more info you give, the better site you will get!
