Q. Describe the most common types of jobs you do for your clients.

A. Our most common types of jobs are custom website design, custom development, print design, logo design, and website hosting. We also frequently work with WordPress and other popular content management systems.

Q. What advice do you have for a customer looking to hire a provider like you?

A. Portfolio and references are key when hiring an individual web designer or a firm. If you've worked with a web designer before, chances are you've learned this the hard way. Unfortunately, most of the web design industry in Massachusetts is filled with low quality firms that turnaround static, low quality websites that aren't optimized for search engines or even visitors.

Q. What questions do customers most commonly ask you? What's your answer?

A. One of the most common questions customers ask us is, "Why is SEO important and how will it help me get new customers?".

My answer: SEO is important because it helps search engines like Google, Bing, and Yahoo find and process your content. The search engines will then give your site more authority and and rank you higher for your keywords. This will help you get more customers because you'll be visible to more prospective clients. Q. How did you decide to get in your line of work?

A. Web2Studios wasn't formed as the result of a business plan, but instead as the result of an award. In the Spring of 2009, we (Daniel Castellon and Michael Salem) were high school seniors studying web design at a technical high school. Although we attained high grades and each built our own design portfolios through the years, up until that point we had zero major accolades to our names.

That changed when together we entered a national competition called the "Business Professionals of America - Web Design Competition". This competition seeks to determine the top high school-level talent in the country by requiring each team to design a website to a specific criteria. This year, teams were to build a website detailing the top attractions of Dallas. The winners at the state level would be flown to Dallas to compete at the national level.

The website we designed is located today at http://projectdallas.net. When the time came to introduce our site at the state level, we found ourselves sweeping first place. At the national level we were named as one of the top 3 teams in the country.

Q. Tell us about a recent job you did that you are particularly proud of.

A. Although we spend our 9-5 (often more) creating and maintaining client websites, we often like to work on side projects to test new strategies in web development and search engine optimization. One such website is BeFunGames(http://befungames.com). At this time, BeFun is 1 year old and attracts roughly 1,200 visitors per day through search engines.
