Introduction
Using yoga as a tool for mental health support - experiencing yoga for all body sizes, abilities, and injuries - learning beyond the physical practice with philosophy, meditation and breath work. These are some features you can expect as we work together to create your individualized practice! I've been facilitating yoga since 2020. I'm also a licensed social worker, CYT 500 and Certified Yoga for All facilitator. Working together to create your individualized practice will combine the ancient practices and philosophy of yoga with clinical interventions and neuroscience. Unlike a class format, a private, individualized practice allows us to easily accommodate medical concerns, injuries, or disabilities, and focuses on your unique mental health needs and goals. These sessions can include asana (physical postures), pranayama (breathwork), dhyana (meditation), yoga philosophy, sound healing, mudras, and more! Who this is for: Those wanting a specialized practice to fit their needs and goals. Those looking for improved connection with physical, emotional, or spiritual self through mindfulness and bodyfulness practices. Those looking to deepen their yoga practice, both with and beyond the physical. I also facilitate private group and corporate events. Examples of events I've designed include emotional clarity, chakra balancing, yoga and eating disorders, and creating brave spaces Who this is for: Those who want to include elements such as relaxation, grounding, clarity, and connection in their event. Those wanting to build stronger community connections through yoga practices. Organizations looking for education and experience on the benefits of yoga for physical, mental, and emotional health. Organizations looking to create a sustainable work environment by LIVING work-life balance. ***Now offering Thai Yoga Bodywork*** Thai Yoga Bodywork is a combination of pressure, assisted stretching and movement that promotes circulation, muscle relaxation, mobility, and energy balancing. This ancient practice can be traced back 2,500 years ago to India and the spread of Buddhism. It is done fully clothed on a large floor mat. Dress comfortably! **Thai Yoga Bodywork may not be safe if you have any of the following conditions: autoimmune disease, bone disease, unmonitored diabetes, unmonitored high/low blood pressure, history of heart attack or stroke, circulatory issues, cancer, pregnancy, recent surgery (6 months).

Amanda is the truly the kindest, generous, fun, sweet, knowledgeable person, Thai massage therapist and yoga instructor. I booked a session with Amanda as a Christmas present to my husband and myself. When we got to the space, it was set up so beautifully. Amanda had set up out little spots with props and blankets and made us feel comfortable. I had talked to Amanda several time before hand about what I wanted for the session. She created a wonderful program of restorative yoga poses, Thai massage to work on our problem/sore areas, sound healing and some breath work. It was so wonderful and the time went so quickly. We cannot wait to go back for another session. I feel like this would be a great way to spend some time with a loved one, a significant other, a friend or a bit of time for yourself. I cannot recommend Amanda enough, she is truly a gifted person and makes you feel welcome and comfortable throughout the entire session.

I have been attending Amanda's yoga classes for about a year and I have really enjoyed working with her. One thing that I love is that, even though she has a plan, before she begins, she will always ask for input on the structure of that class. Throughout her instruction, she consistently offers variations to the yoga movements to make it comfortable for all bodies, which I very much appreciate. And at the end of each class, she welcomes and takes her time answering any questions about the class. Absolutely love taking her classes.

Amanda's greatest strengths are her patience and inclusiveness. She wants every individual to feel seen and included in her practices. Amanda does not discriminate and believes that Yoga is a practice for all people. Her classes are unpretentious and rooted in theory. During a class you can find Amanda in a calm, focused state, but that doesn’t mean she isn’t jovial! A laugh here or there is not uncommon. She often incorporates fluid movements which creates an amazing balance from long position holds. She leads you through class with gentle guided dialogue and breathing techniques. While some might opt for the more strenuous positions, she always offers modifiers paying close attention to her individual students’ needs, limits and possibly injuries. Amanda’s classes have consistently provided me with a grounding experience; after which I feel fulfilled and connected to myself and my surroundings. I would recommend her class to all interested in yoga, but especially those who have felt out of place before. She has a way of creating a safe space that welcomes any and all participants.
