Question and answer

Q. What advice do you have for a customer looking to hire a provider like you?

A. A good math teacher should know math inside out, so don't hire a math teacher who did not major in math and is not certified to teach math.

Q. What do you like most about your job?

A. Because it is challenging, it makes me reflect everyday about what I do and how I can better myself and my teaching strategy. It also gives me the opportunity to help people become good in math and when they do, it gives me a lot of satisfaction.

Q. How did you decide to get in your line of work?

A. I majored in math and I have a passion for math. So after I graduated, I decided that the best way to share what I know is to teach.

Q. Do you do any sort of continuing education to stay up on the latest developments in your field?

A. Yes, I attend workshops on a regular basis and I continue to take classes to get my master.

Q. If you were advising someone who wanted to get into your profession, what would you suggest?

A. Don't get into teaching unless you know what you are doing, you have great patience, and you are ready to do anything in your power to inspire students to learn and perform.
