I would say that my experience in the industry over the years working both in the commercial and residential arenas has given me a unique perspective when it comes to the wide variety of projects on which I work. I also think that my attention to detail and follow up is second to none. I love doing the space planning and creating a functional space for those who use it to live, work, and/or play in. As well, I enjoy putting together all the various finishes that set each space apart from just being ordinary.

We contacted Jane after we had already chosen new kitchen cabinets and counters. We basically knew the look we were going for but definitely needed professional help to get us there. Within a short while of meeting me, Jane had nailed our decorating style completely and was a huge help in keeping us focused on what we were trying to achieve with colour, tile, lighting and placement of shelving. In addition to her obvious design talent Jane was a pleasure to work with and we hope to be able to work with her again on another project, from the very beginning this time.

I really enjoyed working with Jane on my Master Bathroom Project. Her personality is very easy to work with, where some designers have too much ego in a project. She is hands-on, extremely organized, thorough and a nice eye for design. She is very effective at seeing outdated and awkward space and making it very functional while maintaining a high standard stylistically. She was recommended to me from a very reliable contractor, so obviously she is very good at managing sub-contractors for your project too. Simply put, Jane is kind and good at what she does.

We have worked with Jane for years on multiple projects. Without fail, Jane delivers impressive design concepts that align with our preferences and personal style. She's bold, but there's always a sense of grace to her work. Another important factor is that for such a creative person, she's incredibly organized and practical when it comes to executing a project on time and on budget. Finding professionals you trust with your most important design projects can be challenging. Jane is the "needle in the haystack!"

I charge by the hour.
What is your typical process for working with a new customer?
I meet with a new client and interview them as to what they are looking to have done, I take photos of the spaces that will be worked on, take some measurements, as well as get a feel for what the client has in mind.
What education and/or training do you have that relates to your work?
I have a degree in Interior Design from Michigan State University, and have worked for an office furniture dealership, and a facilities planning group before working for myself.
