Introduction: Hello! Before you move forward, please note that I am only available for teaching on Fridays and Saturdays. Please message me accordingly. Thank you! Rate: 30min - $70 45min - $100 1 hour - $120 Han Nah Son is a professional pianist, Doctor in Musical Arts and passionate pedagogue who has long years of teaching students of all levels and backgrounds. My mission is to give my students the most meaningful and enjoyable musical experience through piano lessons. Having studied with multiple master music educators from Rimsky-Korsakov Conservatory in Russia, Hannover Musikhochschule in Germany and Boston University in USA, I understand that inspiration and positive influence is the best gift a music teacher can give to a student. Shaping young minds, I focus on proper technical foundation, sensitivity in sounds, while keeping the excitement of creating music. Lessons are held once a week at my Needham Studio. My students are ages of 5 and older, at all levels. Complete beginners are welcomed.  ABRSM / RCM Certification And Competitions:  My students have performed in the Carnegie Hall as winners of International Piano Competitions for young artists, and have been recipients of ABRSM (Associated Board of the Royal Schools of music) and RCM (Royal Conservatory of Music) certifications in both Piano and Theory. The ABRSM and RCM are international music exams given twice a year to students all around the world. The certification exams can be very effective for students' progress, as well as helpful for students' application to private high schools and colleges. Learn From A Concert Pianist: Not every piano teacher is the same. Learning from an award-winning piano teacher with education from international background, you will be making the best decision for your child’s music education. Regardless of the level, every student in my studio builds the correct technical foundation from the start, and learns the subtle beauty and expression of music from a performing concert pianist. Teaching Methodology: My teaching methodologies include how to learn/ sight read and memorize with maximum efficiency (I have spent years specifically researching and creating many methodologies); how to solve technical / mechanical / relaxation issues (including how to achieve much greater speed and control); how to achieve extremely high levels of musicality, nuance, and expression; how to express yourself musically and connect with your inner self; how to rapidly gain autonomy and independence from the teacher; how to practice physically, mentally, and emotionally; how to set and achieve goals; how to use both motivation and willpower to your advantage; and much more besides. Each student will learn perfect technique developed from many years of experimenting! This allows students to play without tension, freely and beautifully at the piano. You will learn to focus on expression, crafting a sound that is uniquely your own. You will even learn the secret that makes reading music easy, using my unique interval-based method. Music Theory and History are always integrated in lessons in order to expose each student to the vast possibilities of Music as an expressive language. For parents, your children will develop a love and appreciation for music. Many of my students have gone on to win scholarships and professional competitions around the country. Rate: 30min - $70 45min - $100 1 hour - $120 Please send message if you are interested in knowing more about the lesson plans. I’m happy to talk to you about your goals with piano lessons!

Leaning to play the piano as an adult was a very daunting undertaking and I knew I needed someone who was patient, kind, and understanding. I definitely found that with HNS Piano Academy. Han Nah was very methodical and competent and I picked up the basics very quickly. She was also very fun to be around! I wholeheartedly recommend her to perspective students of all ages!

Han Nah has been my piano teacher for over a year, and she really helped me improve my piano. She is a really good piano teacher because she points out my mistakes so I can get better at my playing. Han Nah is always there on time. When I am weak in one part of my music, such as rhythm, we focus on it so I can improve. When we have class, I play the piece that I was supposed to play for homework, and then I usually learn a new piano piece, but I also do technique, such as scales and theory, for example identifying notes. I have a practice chart that I check off each time I practice, and I usually get two piano pieces for homework, and a little theory. Sometimes I also have to listen to music, such as by Bach or Beethoven. Han Nah is always very happy, and she teaches me a lot during the lesson. She's really good at explaining terms to me when I don't understand them so that I can remember them. I feel like I always want to go to my piano lesson, even if I didn't understand something for the homework.
