We had someone come to us telling us he needed a bankruptcy after short selling his home. We sat down with him and discovered that we could save his home by stripping the second mortgage on his home, rewrite his car loans and strech out payments on back taxes and mortgage arrears. There is no better feeling than telling someone that we can do something he never expected.
- What advice would you give a customer looking to hire a provider in your area of work?
Be sure you hire someone with knowledge and experience. It is very easy to for an attorney call herself a bankruptcy lawyer, hire a web designer and accept cases and not know what they are doing. Several times a year, I take over cases where the debtor is in danger of losing his discharge or assets and almost always the trouble could have been avoided by a competent bankrutpcy attorney.
