Sarah is AMAZING!!!! I needed a color consultation for painting my kitchen cabinets. Sarah inspired me to go out on a limb and I’m so glad I did!! When Sarah was here, she was fully equipped with photos and ideas for not only my kitchen, but other areas of my home as well. She made suggestions for lighting and hardware for my kitchen, and also suggested color and options for decor for the living room as well! I was able to follow up with questions and she immediately responded with pleasure. Sarah is well-seasoned in decorating, and I would not hesitate to use her again! She inspired me with so many ideas, that I will be decorating as an ongoing project.

Sarah has an amazing gift. We hired her several months ago, to guide us through a complete overhaul of our entire house, one room at a time. Initially, we had several designers come up with a concept so we could choose the best one, and hands-down, we chose Sarah because had the best design concept. After asking us questions, she was able to clearly articulate what it was that we wanted and the overall look we were going for. Working with her has been extremely easy. She communicates well, is thorough, detailed oriented, and overall has exceeded all of our expectations.

Sarah of The Lovely Locale is such a pleasure to work with! She is extremely responsive, friendly, and professional. When I was unsure of the style I wanted for my new place, she presented a few different design concepts to make my decision easier. Sarah selected the most gorgeous finishes and furnishings for the space, while sticking to my budget. Everything specified and purchased is of amazing value and quality. There truly is nothing like living in a professionally designed home. Plus, I receive compliments from all of my guests! It was so fun working with Sarah while seeing her beautiful style and perfected approach to the design process unfold in my space!

We asked Sarah to come to our place of business and provide design for a very historic building. Sarah was professional, resourceful and was able to guide us with choices that resulted in a beautiful and grand entrance to our foyer and window treatments in our library and large tv room that were both functional, long-wearing and eye-catching. Sarah was able to connect us with vendors that worked within our budget and was able to communicate our needs with these vendors to get us the end result we desired. Working with the Lovely Locale (Sarah) was just that, LOVELY.

What should the customer know about your pricing (e.g., discounts, fees)?
We work off of an hourly fee of $195.
What is your typical process for working with a new customer?
Each project begins with an initial design consultation. We will discuss project details like scope and budget, as well as how you'd like the space to function for your lifestyle. Most importantly, we will talk about your vision for the space, and how you want to feel in your home. From there, I create a proposal, outlining the scope + estimated project hours, as well as concept images for the design direction. I also send over a contract, to be signed once the proposal is agreed upon. I find that this is the easiest process because it sets goals and expectations for the project.
What education and/or training do you have that relates to your work?
I have a Bachelor of Science in Interior Architecture with a concentration in Sustainability from Endicott College.
