It's still to early to tell. The tech told me to give the application 30 days to really take affect. I'm still seeing a few ants in my home. I will know better after 30 days. Thanks, Dave

Question and answer

Q. Describe the most common types of jobs you do for your clients.

A. Bedbugs, termites, carpenter ants, rats, mice, squirrels, bats, wasps, hornets, mosquitoes, ticks, fleas, & bees are the most commonly encountered pests.

Q. What advice do you have for a customer looking to hire a provider like you?

A. Make sure that you choose value over price.

In structural pest control you must be licensed by the states you service. Ensure that they are fully licensed.

Check online for unbiased reviews of the company on various websites.

Make sure they are members of state & national pest management associations like NPMA, PPMA, & NEPMA. This shows industry stewardship.

RARELY is a pest situation life threatening or dangerous. It can obviously happen but never buy into high pressure or scare tactics.

Q. If you were a customer, what do you wish you knew about your trade? Any inside secrets to share?

A. That professional pest control is not like you see it depicted on TV & the movies. The exterminator, bug guy, terminator, etc. are dead! We do not spray, fog, bomb, fumigate, etc. like it was the 1970's.

Today's industry is highly professional licensed applicators. We are now called PMP's (Pest Management Professionals) or PCO's (Pest Control Operators) NOT exterminators.

Q. What questions should a consumer ask to hire the right service professional?

A. What type of warranty or assurance comes with treatment for this pest?

Do you have experience with this pest?

What are the varios options available for treating this pest & why?

A pest management professional is like an expert consultant. They should calm your concerns & provide a solution/plan for your situation. You should feel very comfortable with what you are being told. If you doubt anything ask questions. If your gut is telling you something get a 2nd opinion.

Q. Why does your work stand out from others who do what you do?

A. EHS is widely renowned as an industry leader for the education & training they provide to their team. They exceed state training requirements by 500%

We are a solutions based company and succeed where other companies fail. Being a valued added service provider is one of our core values. EHS provides award winning customer service. No matter who you deal with from the office to the field you can be assured of outstanding customer service.

Q. What do you like most about your job?

A. Pests take away the quality of life that we deserve. They adversely affect our health, home, and businesses. EHS takes great pride in being able to solve pest problems and give people back their lives. We are proud to consider ourselves guardians of the environment. We are jokingly called "pest therapists" to our customers because of our sensitivity and professionalism in dealing with their pest problems.
You can't put a price on the feeling you get when you help someone and that is what we love most about our job.

Q. Do you do any sort of continuing education to stay up on the latest developments in your field?

A. EHS UNIVERSITY: TRAINING PROTOCOLS....
raining & educational offerings are coordinated by our in-house certified staff entomologist. Most of the training programs are conducted in our training facility & laboratory located within our corporate office. Our specialists also attend training from various other sources outside our company. Training topics cover various pest management topics such as; entomology, biology, toxicology, insect identification, application techniques, safety, IPM & non-chemical control measures, etc.

All newly hired service specialists must undergo 4-6 weeks of field training and pass a quality control review by their supervisor prior to being able to service clients on their own.
NOTE: The Commonwealth of Massachusetts Dept. of Agricultural Resources, pesticide bureau, requires that all licensed applicators undergo 12hrs of training in a three year period to maintain their license. That equates to 4hrs per year.

EHS service specialists undergo 15-20hrs of training per year! That’s 375% to 500% more than the required amount mandated by the Commonwealth!

Q. What is your greatest strength?

A. Solving challenging pest issues when other companies fail.
Providing expert & unique pest solutions to each job. This "outside the box" thinking makes us an industry leader because it is delivered by the best trained field specialists.
If you take above & mix it with our outstanding customer service you have one of the best pest control firms in the pest management industry! Our customers are WOW'd by the level of service & support they get from EHS.
