Q. Why does your work stand out from others who do what you do?
A. I am a small business tech who has been working in the field for over 15 years. my focus is inexpensive custom service to my customer. there are no inflation rates because you are a business and when you hire me you get custom care to suit your business, not a generic service bound by set hours and design. i completely mold my service around the customer.
Q. What do you like most about your job?
A. I love interacting and helping small businesses grow. i enjoy the challenge of something new everyday and being a part of something that is as important to me as it is to them. Being able to relieve the stress of IT services from my customers and allowing them to focus on growing their business instead of how to design a website or what computers or software to buy.
Q. What questions do customers most commonly ask you? What's your answer?
A. Should i upgrade or should i buy new. The answer varies from customer to customer and the fuction that computer will be proforming. Can it be utilized in another area while upgrading another machine. although you can find fairly cheap computers on the market today, you have to keep in mind the function that computer will be proforming.
Q. Do you have a favorite story from your work?
A. my favorite story from work would have to be getting a call from one of my customers who was going through a hard drive failure. at first glance the customer was very emotional at the though of losing all of their data. i was able to calm them and reassure them that combine with the tools i had and the backups we had put in place that her data was safe even if the hard drive was unreoverable. the end result was being able to get the current data off the hard drive with some of the tools i utilize. The customer was extremely happy and i got a Christmas Card from them that year.
Q. What do you wish customers knew about you or your profession?
A. I would like my customers to understand and know that no matter what their schedule or needs are we will meet them and be there for them night or day, weekdays, weeknights, or weekends.
Q. Describe your most recent project, what it involved, how much it cost, and how long it took.
A. i recently help a start up business by providing them with a common file server that runs Server 2008 runs FTP services, and all of their Employees Remote into the server for their daily tasks, i also created them a new website with a FTP web portal and new web and email hosting, transfering their existing domain to a more stable enviornment.
this whole project costed about $4,000.00 to complete and was done in aproximately 6 weeks
