A. When hiring an entertainer, don't just go with the "lowest bidder" who may fit your perceived budget. Your guests won't remember how many ice-sculptures you had, they won't remember if your balloons were on strings or on the ceiling. But, they WILL remember the entertainment you chose... good or bad. A. Talk with the entertainer about more than simply their price. Have they performed for your type of event before? Do they arrive on time? Are they flexible? Is their show suitable for all ages? Do they present themselves in a professional manner? Are they pleasant to work with? Will they leave your guests with a magical and memorable experience that will last a lifetime?

The correct answer to all of the questions, should be "yes."

Q. What important information should buyers have thought through before seeking you out?

Customers should have an idea of the type of entertainment they are looking for (i.e. an after-dinner show suitable for a large group of over 200 people, a mingling entertainer for a cocktail party, a school fundraiser in an auditorium, an intimate party for a few guests at home, etc.). Will they have the space for the performance large enough for the guests and the performer? Is there easy access to the performance space for the performer? Will there be parking available for the performer? What is your full budget range, not just your perceived cut-off price?
