Sorry this pro can’t do your job, but we know other pros who can.
Introduction: There are a number of things I do that stand out. First, I'm not out to make a big profit from this. You get the amount of service you need, and meet the goals that are realistic, at a reasonable price. There is nobody, and I do mean NOBODY! who can teach some learning disabled kids better, faster, and to the best of their abilities than I can. I have recommendations from professional peers, a recent supervisor, and parents that will tell you that, time and time again. I can - when conditions are right - teach people how to tell which hand is which, In ONE TO FOUR MINUTES. These are severely dyslexic people, who have NEVER been able to tell their right hand from their left, through ages 11 to 21. Sound impossible? It's real. I travel to you, unless you'd rather meet somewhere central, like a local library. So much of what you pay goes to car expense. To balance costs, I use longer tutoring sessions of 1 to 2 hours per session, and fewer sessions, when possible. When you can't sit that long, we take short breaks and / or have shorter sessions anyway. I can help people who most tutors can't. I really like that! Examples abound: 1. I taught a very learning disabled girl to pass her MCAS in Biology in 4 months of intensive tutoring at school. After that, I helped her structure and edit her senior thesis, which passed on the first review! After that, I helped her fill in a huge Massachusetts Math Packet, in lieu of passing her Math MCAS. In the meantime, I noticed that she was so dyslexic that she couldn't remember which hand was her left and which her right. I helped her fix that, PERMANENTLY, in about ONE MINUTE ELAPSED TIME!! 2. I tutored a girl at Holy Cross College in reviewing a unit for College Calculus. She'd contacted FOUR Calculus tutors before me, and they had all DECLINED to help because the topic was too hard! I previewed the problems she had to study over the phone, and answered them in 30 seconds each. Later, I tutored her in how to do the problems in detail, with proof, in ONE HOUR, total extent of tutoring. 3. I tutored a severely handicapped high school junior for the MCAS. I raised his Math score from a 0th%-ile on the SAT to a 25th %-ile on the MCAS, raised his low Science score to equal his higher Reading score, and doubled his original raw 5-6 point Writing score to a near-perfect 11 out of 12. His writing is better than College Freshmen who HAVE taken a first course in Writing Exposition.
