After graduating from Oxford University in the UK with the highest attainable degree class majoring in Modern History, I moved to the US for a one year graduate program at Harvard fully funded by a scholarship made available to six UK citizens each year. In 2011, I will be beginning a PhD in History at UCL in London.
I have worked as a journalist for national newspapers in the UK (including The Guardian, The (London) Times and the Daily Mail). I have also worked as the full-time campaign manager for a senior British Member of Parliament. I have experience teaching English and American history to young people at a French International School in Washington DC.
I am currently working on research in Boston, preparing for my PhD.
What I can offer:
Hourly tutoring in writing, math, science and all liberal arts to fifth grade students and up. I also offer essay writing workshops and I can help your kids learn how to effectively manage their time, be more organized and more efficient with their work. I can also help your child craft winning personal statements and application essays that will help them breeze into high schools, colleges and grad school programs of their choice.
What I charge:
$50 per hour. Alternatively, you can have unlimited access to my services for just $500 a week. I am happy to travel anywhere within Cambridge, Charlestown, Somerville or Boston.
