Both of my children take lessons at Rhapsody and have for years. Their staff is very friendly and knowledgeable. I would not take them anywhere else.

Question and answer
Q. What advice do you have for a customer looking to hire a provider like you?
A. I would advise a consumer to inquire about the level of a Teacher's educational background and musical experience. You deserve a professional teacher who has attained a level of achievement that is recognized by independent credentialing. A teacher who only teaches beginners is probably not more than an intermediate player themselves. You deserve more.
Our teachers are university/conservatory/college educated, church musicians, public school teachers, composers, and band directors, actively working in their field.
Q. Why does your work stand out from others who do what you do?
A. After over 30 years of music instruction, we have stood the test of time. Many of our students have grown into adults who choose to bring their children to us for music lessons, stating that they want their children to have the same experience with us that they did, as children. We teach the whole person, child or adult, and love what we do!
Q. What do you like most about your job?
A. The best part of our job is the one-to one interaction with our students. Many of our students come to us for a number of years and we get to know them very well.
Q. What questions do customers most commonly ask you? What's your answer?
A. The most frequent question that customers ask us is: at what age should a child start piano? voice?
Our answer for piano is that a child benefits from starting piano around age five to seven years old. Piano lessons can help a child with developing focus and attention, left to right tracking, fine motor control, coordination, concentration, and confidence. Plus, it's fun!
We suggest voice lessons wait until the student is a pre-teen. The child's body needs to develop to support the tone properly. All voice students benefit from having a background in piano.
