I am a balloon twister for all your party and event needs! It's fun for ages 3-103! Make your child's birthday more than just a cake and ice cream affair.
I've worked at corporate, non-profit and municipal events. Also, I've twisted at high schools, after school programs, churches and dance halls, as well as countless birthday parties.
At Drew's Balloons, we create monkeys, dinosaurs, flowers, and smiles!
Nonprofits and churches are eligible for a discount, so please mention it when you email.

Drew was a big hit at our son's 4th birthday party. He made amazing balloon animals. We would recommmend him to all our friends.

We hired Drew for a birthday party with 14 four year old kids. He was great. The balloons were way more elaborate than I expected. Pretty much anything the kids asked for, he could make. Drew has a relaxed and fun way with the kids, even when mobbed by them all shouting out requests.
Drew was also easy deal with when scheduling and was prompt on the day of the party.

A. Whenever hiring an entertainer ask for references or for a background check to have been done. Thumbtack has done a background check on me and I can also always give references as to my ability and character. If someone can provide these, you may want to re-think hiring them. I also ask that there is always a trusted adult - parent, family member, or staff person - within eyesight of myself and any children at all times for the protection of the performer and the clientele this is just a best practice to follow.
A. I try to offer unique items and to focus on getting the little details right -- maybe it means adding another 160 or 260 or round to complete a creation or maybe it means bringing a few more colors to a gig, or carrying a half-dozen markers so you can give the cat green eyes when the adorable four year old asks for them, or just practicing a few extra hours.
I'm a huge fan of making bigger things -- giant spiders, superheros, Octopi, a full size monkey, that kind of thing. Also, I love making wearables -- flowers that fit on your wrist, wings, jetpacks (yeah!), and of course hats.
A. I love my job! I get invited to all the best parties and get to hang out with happy excited people. My job is to be creative and fun and to make people smile and sometimes I get to get outdoors and meet really interesting, fun people. I tell people all the time how much I enjoy this and I'm always talking up the last job and the next job to people around me.
Balloon twisting is a really social and creative job which I think matches up perfectly for some of my character traits. Also, Balloons are just fun! Balloons + Drew = Fun, therefore Drewsballoons=Fun!
A. I would tell them to practice, practice, practice. You're closer than you think to making really amazing things, you just have to hang in there and keep twisting. Most people leave the field within the first 2 years. What they don't realize is that you aren't even really any good yet, you're just about to become good. People don't often realize it; if you want to be good at anything -- balloon twisting or ballet or golf or math or whatever, you have to keep trying and keep growing and practice. Keep doing it and your hands will lead the way if your head won't.
