Introduction: As a MA certified math teacher(have taught at the Weston Middle School), I have helped numerous students from 6-12th grades and now tutor privately out of my home office in Wayland.
I can quickly diagnose what the student is struggling with and provide the necessary help in the way that best meets his/her way of understanding.

Self-reliance. Confidence. Success. These are the three words I would use to describe Hey-Sung's approach. My 8th grade daughter started working with Hey Sung last year. After relocating from CA, she began struggling in her math class. Hey Sung worked with her to build up her foundation, strengthen her skills, and build her confidence. She is now in Math Honors, getting an A. She now only sees Hey-Sung on an "as needed" basis. Hey Sung is currently working with my 6th grade son. In the last 4 weeks, his grades have steadily improved, along with his confidence. If you are looking for a tutor, I highly recommend Hey Sung. She is earnest and passionate about teaching. As a parent, I also appreciate her sensitivity to the individual's learning style.

Communicative teacher to student and parents, with a good sense of humor. Our son questioned working with a tutor, but after meeting with her she won him over...he now does not like to miss his time with her. Excellent choice for us and our son. She is constructing a new office space to work with the students...this was lacking but is no longer an issue.

I highly recommend Hey-Sung Han as a math tutor. My child has developed confidence and competence in math while working with Hey-Sung over the last three years. Hey - Sung is very knowledgeable, personable and punctual . Hey - Sung will keep me up to date on my child's progress and will focus on specific areas of difficulty when she feels my child needs it. Hey-Sung is a wonderful tutor. She is exceptionally smart, knows the curriculum well, and has outstanding teaching skills. My 14 year old daughter really enjoys working with Hey-Sung because of her relatable personality and the way she makes math understandable.

Hey-Sung has worked two of my children navigate upper level middle school and high school math classes. She has provided consistent guidance and positive support for both boys. She has made herself available for extra sessions and has helped "on the fly" online or by reviewing "snapshots" by cell phone of problems that they are having trouble with. When transportation and timing have been an issue, she has worked with my older son by skype.
Hey-Sung really takes an interest in how they are doing and wants to help them succeed. Perhaps as invested in how they are doing as they are.
