Sorry this pro can’t do your job, but we know other pros who can.
Introduction: "Do you remember "when, when, when?" Do you believe that "today's music ain't got the same soul?" Then, you've come to the right place, because those oldies but goodies plays that "good old rock and roll." Whether you're hosting a second wedding, a school reunion, a special birthday or anniversary party, a retirement party or a corporate event, we will make your celebration unique and memorable. Everyone wants to have "fun, fun, fun" not just girls, although we specialize in the music of the 50s, 60s and 70s. My events are fun for all ages. Imagine you and your guests: • twisting and shouting with chubby checker and the Beatles • getting "satisfaction" by rocking to the sounds of Buddy Holly, The Stones, and xxxxxxxx • dancing with your special partner to the love songs of Elvis, Sinatra, Streisand, The Righteous Brothers, The Platters, and all your other favorites • competing to win one of several contests such as rock-and-roll trivia, best twist or disco dancer, greatest Elvis impersonator, or best hula-hoop spinner. • experiencing special moments and surprises that bring tears of love and joy or add a little "fairy dust" to your celebration. What makes Fred G. Slabine "rock?" As president of Those Oldies But Goodies, I bring my passion for this music and years of experience as a radio and cable-TV personality. When I was a pre-teen listening to Arnie woo-woo Ginsberg, Melvin X Melvin, Dick Summers and others, I fell in love with rock and roll and have been enjoying it ever since. During my years in the air force, I broadcast an oldies show to the troops stationed in Biloxi, Mississippi and Iceland. Later on, I had my own radio show in Key West, Florida on WKWF. Then, I attended a broadcast school, where I earned a certificate in broadcasting and a first class FCC license. Over the years, I collected thousands of records, CDs and DVDs with music from the 50s, 60s, and 70s. Then, from xxxx to 2009, I served as a DJ hosting my “Oldies But Goodies” show on Brookline Access television where my followers could listen to me 24-7. Until I "retired" in 2008, the "oldies" were my avocation. I had a successful career in automotive sales, special finance, and sales training. As I entered the "bonus decades," I decided to start a new mobile DJ business Those Oldies But Goodies. I find it extremely satisfying to entertain others by playing the music I've listened to and loved my entire life. What's more, I've found that the same winning formula, working hard to understand my clients' needs and make them smile, serves me just as well now, in my current DJ role, as it did in the automotive industry.
