Q. What advice do you have for a customer looking to hire a provider like you?
A. What most people don't realize is that most travel agents work at no extra cost to you and often have access to special discounts available only to members of the travel industry. So with someone else doing all the legwork and providing you with a great price, you'd be silly not to use a travel agent!
Q. If you were a customer, what do you wish you knew about your trade? Any inside secrets to share?
A. How much there is to know about booking travel. Sure, those big brand search engines provide quick and easy access to a flight or vacation package, but is it really the best one available for you? Do you trust them to know whether or not a hotel passes inspection? Traveling on a budget? A travel agent knows how to reduce costs by traveling on the right day or taking advantage of a discount you didn't know you qualified for! There are many benefits I wasn't aware of until I became a travel agent.
Q. What questions should a consumer ask to hire the right service professional?
A. Do you specialize in specific types of travel? Do you charge a service fee? What are the cancellation fees for my trip? Is travel insurance worth the investment? Don't hesitate to ask questions...that's why travel agents are a wise choice. You'll always have a human being on the other end of the line!
