John was contracted to strip wallpaper, repair walls (plaster) as necessary and paint our living/dining room and a second floor hall/stairway. They did not start work on the date scheduled and once work commenced, they left a complete mess. On the first floor, the carpet was to be removed at the end of the project - John took this to mean that they did not have to vacuum or use dropcloths during the stripping and subsequent wall repair, including sanding. On the second floor, the existing carpet was removed so that the trim could be painted - again they did not use dropcloths leaving paint on unfinished hardwood floor reminiscent of a Jackson Pollack painting. When we discussed our concerns with John about the lack of adequate protection for flooring and furniture, he became hostile and agitated. During the remainder of the project, he was at times verbally abusive. We are not pleased with the final paint job but are prepared to touch it up ourselves rather than deal with John again.

JM Painting was hired to repaint our peeling trim, doorways and railings. They showed up on schedule and quickly got to work. The work site was kept very clean at the end of each day. JM's crew was professional and finished the job on time. They did a great job considered how bad the wood was; multiple nail holes, rough uneven surfaces, etc. I would recommend the JM crew, it was even better they were a local business in Westford.
