In January,it was my birthday.I was planning a big birthday party,and i wanted to look fabulous!that included:new dress,shoes jewerly,hair done and makeup. I called and made an appointment with Ioana. She asked me what look i am going for :natural,etc..i of course wanted to stand out(afterall its my birthday party!) Yes, i wanted those dark "smokey eyes". The night of my "birthday eve"(I celebrated a day before) she started my makeup application,while she was applying step by step she asked me:is this what you had in mind?is this the color you like?after few minutes i could see the look i have imagined already, and i sayd YES! PERFECT! I also wanted fake eyelashes :) and that was the final touch,i was done,i got a big WOW! from my husband when he came to check on me :) and he told me i look amazing.. The final results were: FANTASTIC!i looked beautiful,i fealt like a diva! i fealt happy and beyond satisfied, when my makeup was done.At the party,i walked in, and all eyes were on me ;) everyone told me how amazing i look, and my makeup is fenomenal! i have recommended her to everyone i know,and i couldn't been more happier with her work.Thank you Ioana for making me look FABULOUS for my party!:)

Ioana was recommended to do my makeup by one of my bridesmaids from a highly recognized Chicago hair and make up salon. The reason was due to needing a on location make up artist. After seeing the first of six bridesmaids complete with her full make up, I was quickly at ease! She is simply amazing, her creative eye for this field is unbelievable! The way she glanced at our bridesmaid dress and flower color accents, then highlighted special features on our face with similar tones was brilliant! Ioana will be a part of my life's special events for the remainder of my future as well as now 8 bridesmaids that have personally seen her work! She uses our faces as a canvas and creates a beautiful piece of art. I was extremely impressed with the longevity of the make up and the eyelashes! After a full 7am-12 midknight day of happy tears at the wedding ceremony, pictures in the Windy City downtown, spilled and splashed champaign bottles kn the limo ride to the reception, and a full night of dancing and sweating, this makeup outlasted our event!!! Ioana does a fabulous makeup job, and is able to cater to any age, skin type, or "look" you may be going for. She is always on time and professional, which is a huge benefit when getting ready for a special event! I can always depend on her for gorgeous makeup, done on time and with patience, and a happy and kind attitude. Love her and would not even think about going to anyone else!

What education and/or training do you have that relates to your work?
I've done a lot of trainings through Mac on the latest in makeup and trends.
How did you get started doing this type of work?
I work full time as a project manager on a research project in social work. Makeup was always my outlet and passion.When I would do makeup on my friends, they pushed me to take it further! After working for Mac, I knew it was something I had to pursue!!
What types of customers have you worked with?
Weddings and proms are the most common!
