Mrs. Dykman was a godsend for us! She provided the expertise, advice, structure, coaching and discipline to get it all done, on time, at the same time teaching Sarah how to present herself in the best light to the schools of her choice - both on paper and in person. Mrs. Dykman helped her narrow the possibilities (which are overwhelming) within the parameters we all defined. She has a wonderful way to keep the students empowered and responsible all along the way, as she guides and coaches them. Knowing we had an expert in our corner, it de-stressed the process for Mom, Dad and Sarah. We are all thrilled with the outcome. Sarah was accepted at all of the colleges she applied to, even her stretch school. During the process, she fell in love with one school (which was not even on our list, but a recommendation from Mrs. Dykman). Sarah was first accepted as a student and subsequently selected to be an Honors Fellow, with a wonderful academic scholarship. Mrs. Dykman's coaching made all the difference! We heard about Mrs. Dykman's services through another family. I smiled as I heard the two girls talking about their experience. They commented that they were not sure they could have gotten through this, with such wonderful outcomes, without Mrs. Dykman. As their parents - we agree! There were far less tears, arguments, nagging and stress. The only thing I would do differently is to start earlier!

Students and parents who may be skeptical about having a college counselor should know that Cori Dykman is someone you want to have on your side while you navigate today's complex college process. Three years into a life-changing undergraduate career at an institution that I might have overlooked without Cori's guidance, I am convinced that working with her is the best decision my parents and I have ever made. Her thoughtfulness, care, and availability transformed the college process from a daunting obligation into an exciting task. When I worked with Cori, I remember being impressed by the extent of her knowledge about a seemingly endless list of colleges, but I now appreciate the depth and complexity of that knowledge. Cori is intimately familiar with key facts and statistics, but having visited a great deal of the colleges & universities she recommends to students, she also offers a unique perspective on the intangibles of a college--culture, campus life, and overall experience. These are all critical factors in having a positive college experience, but not something you will often find in a brochure or from a university admissions counselor. Cori always helped me find the information I needed, but she really helped me take ownership of the process. Her expertise helped my parents and I make an educated decision based on cost, location, programs, and overall experience; which in turn helped me focus my attention on a handful of institutions. I selected my university with the utmost confidence, and three years in, I would work with Cori again in a second. My son is very gifted and I wanted to make sure that I knew enough for him to get into a great college.
What types of customers have you worked with?
I start working with students from 10th grade on, helping them build strong resumes, pick good classes, and inspire them do well in high school. If I have room, I can take some students who are in their senior year of high school.
What advice would you give a customer looking to hire a provider in your area of work?
