About Jessica Painter Design

My name is Jessica Painter, but I answer to Jessie, Jessa, Jo, JP, J-Pow, and a few select others. I grew up in the country (my neighbors have roosters and goats), but I have always been a city girl at heart.

Currently, I'm a resident of the Charm City, but I have a real soft spot for the City of Brotherly Love.

Ketchup is my favorite condiment, although I tell them I love them all equally. I really enjoy Spaghettios and horror movies, which go surprisingly well together. I love design and all parts of designing, from print to web. I'm always looking for new opportunities and collaborations, so feel free to drop me a line.

    Jess has performed two tasks: preparation of map-like graphics and the design of a trademark.
    The graphics were incorporated in a briefing that describes a project for the development of a new urban neighborhood that would include the construction of new homes, the rehabilitation of others, and the relocation of an extant business into the new community. The graphics showed an overview of the community within the wider urban area, the orientation of the community within the local infrastructure, and a conceptual view of the community upon completion of the project. The trademark developed for this project is a multicolored icon synthesizing the community name with its environmentally-friendly intent.
    Most impressive, in addition to her creativity and skill, is Jess’ willingness to listen to sometimes nebulous requirements and iterate toward potential solutions before attempting a more formal solution that may be inappropriate and need subsequent revision.

    Jessica's work was fantastic. We were originally looking for someone to design just wedding invitations for our wedding, but were so impressed with her talent and ideas, that we ended up getting an entire suite of wedding products designed by her.

    We wanted a cohesive, 'branded' look for our save the dates, programs, invitations, logos used on our stationary/thank you cards, menus, table cards, and name cards. Every printed item we had at our wedding looked like it all matched and belonged together and it was thanks to the amazing design, skills, and ideas that Jessica brought to the process.

    She was timely with all of her proofs, had great suggestions on how to make things look better, and did all of this while keeping our goals/themes in mind.

    Her service was great. She's great to work with. And I know I can count on her again for any of my future design needs.

A. I have a passion for design and it shows. I will treat your project like it is my own personal mission. From start to finish, not a single detail will be overlooked.

Q. What do you like most about your job?

A. I love being creative and spending every day pushing myself to think outside the box, color outside the lines, walk on the wrong side of the street, well you get the point.

A. Usually people want to know what they can expect from me as a designer. You have a vision, and I have the solution.

Q. How did you decide to get in your line of work?

A. I started out as a fine artist. Painting and illustration mostly, which I like to incorporate as much as I can.
