Cory and the crew from sugar rim bar did a heck of a job with our event. Not only were the drinks great, but Cory's attitude and natural people skills made the crowd feel at home, with many asking "how many years have you known him. I highly rcommend sugar rim bar to anyone who wants to add a real special touch to their event.

I will call Sugar Rim Bar for all of our parties and other events. Cory and Heather were the bartenders for our Christmas Party (2010) this past Saturday night. They both had great personalities and were a fantastic addition to our party. The drinks kept flowing and they took very good care of our guests. They can handle a big crowd with no problem...we had about 85 people at our home and they made the bar "the place to be". Cory took care of all of the pre-planning for us which made things so easy. He brings everything needed with him, sets up and is ready for the event. My guests commented on how much fun they had with the bartenders as they were leaving. We have hired other companies in the past and no one compares to Sugar Rim Bar, they far exceeded our expectations!

Fast friendly, efficient, courteous to all of our guests including children (of course non-alcoholic drinks). All of our guests are happy with their drinks and said "he's charming" and a crowd pleaser. We had over one hundred people and he is able to handle the pressure very well. We definitely will hire him back again next year.

Q. Describe the most common types of jobs you do for your clients.
A. Mostly private parties. But we can handle everything from an intimate dinner to a party at FedEx.
Q. What advice do you have for a customer looking to hire a provider like you?
A. Please take a look at websites, ads, references, etc. This is a person or company that you will let into your home or office. Would you hire someone if they didn't have a photo, phone number, or resume?
Q. If you were a customer, what do you wish you knew about your trade? Any inside secrets to share?
A. That you don't have to spend alot of money to have a great time! Our company's backbone is referrals. If we treat you right..you're going to refer us to everyone you know!
Q. What important information should buyers have thought through before seeking you out?
A. Time and Date of event? How many people will attend? What type of crowd? What theme would you like to create? Do you have a bar or would you like us to bring a bar?
Q. Why does your work stand out from others who do what you do?
A. We love what we do! It's not just a weekend job for us. Something that we do on the side. We are in this for the long haul..not just the quick buck.
Q. What do you like most about your job?
A. Working with exciting clients and that no two jobs are alike. We enjoy bringing the right attitude to an event!
Q. What questions do customers most commonly ask you? What's your answer?
A. Are you available? The answer: Yes. We have a team of Bartenders, Waitstaff, Host, Barback, and many others that are waiting to help make your event special.
Q. Do you have a favorite story from your work?
A. My favorite story continues to be made. From starting with a few employees to working large scale events. I don't want there to be an end to this story.
Q. What do you wish customers knew about you or your profession?
A. That a good Bartender mixes drinks, but a great Bartender mixes the people at the bar.
Q. How did you decide to get in your line of work?
A. We have worked or currently work in some of the busiest restaurants in the DC Metro area. We love the business. Not necessarily the hours. This affords us the same customer service satisfaction without the long hours and clean up. And honestly, it feels great to be your own independent boss. I would love for all of my staff to one day duplicate what I am doing and create their own business models.
Q. Tell us about a recent job you did that you are particularly proud of.
A. This past weekend we Bartended a private party. The home was equipped with a fully stocked bar. 100 people showed up and it was an open bar. It felt like a regular busy Friday night shift at your local favorite bar. 20 mins in we knew everyone's name and their favorite drink!
Q. If you were advising someone who wanted to get into your profession, what would you suggest?
A. If you're not a people person don't get involved with this business. You have to love meeting new people and working with people from all walks of life. Treat people the way you want to be treated. Also, make it a point to give back!
